How do I: Move or transport XO-VAC+?¶
XO-VAC+ has 4 heavy duty caster wheels allowing for the equipment to be re-positioned within a room or a building with minimal effort and logistics.
Warning
Do not wheel XO-VAC+ out while its vacuum system is operating as shocks or bumps can damage the turbopump.
Warning
Always lock at least two caster wheels when XO-VAC+ is operated or left unattended. We recommend ensuring that all four wheels are locked whenever XO-VAC+ is stationary.
Warning
Always ensure that all four caster wheels of XO-VAC+ are in contact with the ground when XO-VAC+ is operated or left unattended.
Wheeling XO-VAC+ indoors¶
XO-VAC+ can be safely wheeled indoors as long as the floor surface is smooth. Bumps and shocks can damage the Thermal Control system and the vacuum pump.
Warning
Be careful around floor joints or discontinuities.
Wheeling XO-VAC+ outdoors¶
XO-VAC+ is not designed to be wheeled outdoors on bumpy and/or rough surfaces like asphalt, pavements, ceramics, etc.
Road transportation¶
XO-VAC+ can be transported by road. However, XO-VAC+ has to be prepared for that. Please contact Exobotics to know more about the necessary steps.
Warning
Always vent XO-VAC+ before road transportation.
Air transportation¶
XO-VAC+ can be transported by air cargo. However, XO-VAC+ has to be prepared for that. Please contact Exobotics to know more about the necessary steps.
Warning
Always vent XO-VAC+ before air transportation.
Sea transportation¶
XO-VAC+ is not designed to be transported at sea. Exobotics strongly recommends cutomers to use road and air transportation.
